Central Victoria Animal Hospital is looking for Veterinary Technician Assistants to join our team! We are a dedicated and motivated crew of professional pet health caregivers! You're someone who is passionate about animals and welcomes the opportunity to comfort the next pet patient!

You take pride knowing that you make a difference in easing their stress. You enjoy caring for your pet patients with an energetic attitude. You make sure patient housing is cleanly maintained at all times to ensure their safety and comfort. You willingly lend a hand to assist team members wherever needed. You are able to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanor. Making the client feel important comes second nature to you as you assist them with their visit.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care-with the drive to learn and grow in this role.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Veterinary experience or certificate would be an asset to this role.

Duties will include:

• Assisting Veterinarians and Technicians with various tasks and treatment of pet patients

• Providing compassionate care duties including feeding and walking patients

• General hospital maintenance including cleaning kennels

• Patient handling and restraint

• Client care such as reception, payments and supportive communication

What's required?

• Exceptional client service skills that build trust and loyalty with clients

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a dynamic and diverse team

• Compassion and nurturing attitude when providing care to clients and patients

• Ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful situations

• Positive outlook and enthusiasm

• Initiative in carrying out assignments independently

• Previous veterinary education or certificate is preferred

Compensation: $16.75 to $25.00 per hour. The hourly rate range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
