  • Connections in Ohio, Inc. is seeking a high organized problem solver for a great opportunity! We are hiring a Registered Nurse to support our teams with the areas of medication management, medication administration training, medical appointments, and other health and safety needs. This person must also be able to demonstrate and develop good habits in job completion and show an ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.


    This position does require flexible availability, a reliable vehicle, and a willingness to work within a team.


    This is a full-time position, starting salary at 90,000 per year. Connections offers competitive wages, generous paid leave, outstanding health benefits and a 401k plan.



    Position Description:


    The Registered Nurse is responsible for

    training staff, providing general oversight to the health and medical needs of the consumers, and providing consultation to the Clinical Assistants and ISP teams


    Responsibilities:


    · Ensure that all medical, medication administration, dental, dietary and other health related needs are being addressed as indicated within the individuals service plan and per professional recommendations.


    · Ensure effective communication with physicians, pharmacies, therapist and other health related professionals.


    · Coordinate effectively with managers and administration of the company to ensure heath and wellness of the consumers served.


    · Provide Medication Administration Certification training to Direct Support Professionals.


    · Maintain " on call" responsibilities, including making decisions related to medication administration and health care needs



    Qualifications:

    1. A current Registered Nurse license

    2. A current DoDD Trainer certification for Direct Support Professional

      Medication Passing

       course

    3. An ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks

    4. Excellent communication skills.

    5. Proficient knowledge of iPhone, Windows, and Microsoft Office including:

      1. OneDrive

      2. Excel

      3. Word

      4. Routing texting/phone calls

      5. Google Calendar

    6. A valid Ohio driver’s license with 4 points or less on the individuals BMV driving record

    7. A safe, reliable vehicle coupled with state minimum required auto insurance covering that specific vehicle
