Summary of Job Function: Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, prepares medication orders and/or IV admixtures, delivers and picks-up orders to and from patient care areas and maintains statistical records. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
Job Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Bachelors of Science preferred One year previous pharmacy experience (hospital setting preferred) and/or pharmacy technician training course Pharmacy Technician NJ State License within six (6) months of employment Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification preferred
