As our next Clinical Pharmacist, you will use your outstanding clinical competencies to provide pharmacy services at Cedars-Sinai Oncology location in Tarzana.

Summary of Essential Duties

• Evaluation of drug therapies, development of treatment plans, initiation, titration/tapering and discontinuation of medications under protocol, ordering necessary lab tests under protocol, patient education and follow-up.

• Verification of medications and orders and educating patients requiring injections and oral chemotherapy.

• Participation in patient medication therapy management in Pay for Performance initiatives.

• Documentation of patient progress and outcomes for future reporting.

• Providing therapeutic recommendations and answering medication and patient -related questions from other healthcare providers.

• Providing instruction to patients through health education classes and other patient seminars.

• Active participation in EMR updates and new developments as pertaining to medications.

• Oversight of the chemotherapy inventory, compounding process and oral chemotherapy program.

Qualifications

Education:

• Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) required

License/Certifications:

• Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of California required

• BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of Oncology experience preferred
