Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN Days

The Nuc Med Tech assists with coordination of activities of the Nuclear Medicine Department. Prepares, administers and measures radioactive isotopes for use in therapeutic, diagnostic and tracer studies. Performs and assists with nuclear medicine studies at Coastal Carolina Hospital, Hilton Head Hospital and the Bluffton Medical Center. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in P.I. activities. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all Joint Commission, federal, state and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. Works with students from affiliated radiology schools as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience:

1. One year of experience is preferred.

Required Certifications:

1. Must be registered with the NMTCB and/or ARRT.

1. SCRQSA and current BLS are also required.
