    Overview

    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is accountable for providing strategy, judgment, organization, and evidenced-based analysis to influence decisions, and directly meet our client's requirements.     Location: Buffalo, New York

    Type: DIRECT HIRE, FT

    Schedule: Rotating (8-5 and 12-9)

    Pay range: $25-27/hour

    The LPN will have the following responsibilities:

    • Prepare and complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic testing utilizing insurance and formularies.

    • Performance of chart preparation.

    • Prepare patients for provider examinations including, but not limited to, vitals, BMI, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulse.

    • Conducting point-of-care testing, including but not limited to glucose finger sticks, venipuncture, EKG, pregnancy tests, Covid testing, and urine testing.

    • ·Administer immunizations, medications, and injections as appropriate. Perform dressing changes and wound care as appropriate.

    • Manage clinical supplies and inventory, check expirations, and stock rooms as indicated.

    • Monitor clinical logs, including but not limited to medication and refrigerator logs, to ensure standards and procedures within internal and legal regulations.

    • Assist with patient phone calls, route accordingly, and follow through under the direction of Medical Provider.

    • Completion of forms as indicated and scheduling of patients.

    • Provide patient education under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Provider, including but not limited to diabetes education, discharge instructions, and medications.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: NYS Nursing License from a US-accredited facility.

    • Experience: At least one year of healthcare experience; computer and Medent experience preferred. Flexibility to float to other offices for coverage as needed.

    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication and customer service, bilingual

    Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
