    The Compliance department at Hawai'i Pacific Health aims to provide a framework for the organization's workforce to know, understand and adhere to applicable workforce regulations and provide mechanisms for the prevention, detection and resolution of problems. This team ensures that Hawai'i Pacific Health employees receive training that stresses the personal obligation to comply with laws, regulations, standards and policies, and department-specific training where appropriate, with emphasis in the delivery of quality patient care. The department's compliance officers and committees oversee standards of conduct, resources to report and respond to concerns, training and education, monitoring and auditing, false claims acts and the Office of the Inspector General.

    If you are detail oriented and possess good attention to accuracy in identifying outliers and efficiencies, you could be the ideal candidate for the Coding Auditor position. In this role, you will maintain a well-organized database of clinic and hospital audit of physician coding, billing, and the documentation of services to ensure regulatory compliance. You will also assist with educating our physicians and other qualified health care professionals, including staff members about federal and payer regulations and coding, billing and documentation requirements.     Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Certified Coding Specialist-Professional (CCS-P) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC). Two (2) years medical claims auditing, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases 10th edition (ICD-10), billing compliance training, or related experience.

    Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a health-related field. Medicare coding and billing auditing experience. Experience with EPIC business processes. Experience working with Hawai'i Pacific Health payor contracts.
