POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for all operations within their home clinic, maximizing results through an enhanced patient journey, high quality of care, retention of the clinic staff, and providing a strong clinic culture to meet the needs of both patients and staff.
The position is required to ensure consistent implementation of company procedures and role models both proper procedures and behaviors. The successful candidate will have experience and success in problem-solving, thinking strategically as well as demonstrated customer service skills and teamwork skills.
This position is also responsible for clinical patient intake, meaning applicants must be either a Medical Assistant (MA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Radiology Technologist (RT), etc.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical:
Complies with all HIPAA regulations with regards to patient privacy
Complies with all OSHA safety standards
Obtains pertinent clinical information including the patient’s complaint, health history, and measurement of vital signs
Prepares patient for examination
Prepares for all necessary procedures and treatments according to established specifications
Assists providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
Performs wound irrigations, dressings, bandages wounds and incisions, and applies splints as well as other tasks ordered by the Provider
Performs diagnostic tests including eye exams, EKG, Pulse Ox, Peak flow and throat and nasal swabs
Performs CLIA-waived lab tests; draws blood and collects, labels and processes specimens to sent to the laboratory
Performs daily office and laboratory opening and closing procedures
Maintains emergency equipment for use at all times in a clean and safe condition
Maintains supplies, stocks exam rooms, treatment areas, and laboratory on a daily basis
Sterilizes non-disposable instruments and disposes of contaminated supplies and medical waste in accordance with established standards
Provides discharge instructions as ordered by the Provider
Assists the Provider and front office staff to facilitate flow through the clinic in a timely and appropriate fashion
Maintains proficiency in all areas by attending in-service as required
Maintains CPR certification

Shares best practices/ideas for increasing patient experience/operational efficiency with head office
OPERATIONS AND SERVICE EXCELLENCE
Actively participates in the staffing of the clinic team
Measures and tracks client satisfaction and responds appropriately
Handles and tracks patient correspondence and outcome
Measures, tracks, and celebrates success
Implements best practices that support both the brand and the patient journey
Respects client privacy
Ensures adequate staffing of the clinic maintaining a schedule that supports the business. This includes having a balance of opening, closing, and weekend shifts.
Maintain clinic standards, ensuring the clinic is clean neat, and organized
PROFIT FOCUSED AND REPORTING
Helps develop then meet/exceed budget guidelines by the clinic for controllable expenses
Verifies and completes timesheets
Ensures patient payments are recorded, accounted for, and deposited as per policy
Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly operating paperwork is accurately completed and reported
Completes weekly inventories, identifying and controlling “shrinkage” issues
Creates schedules that optimize client service and manages labor costs
Finds replacements for call-outs
Tracks results daily, weekly and identify trends in order to ensure the right staffing
Builds community partnerships and linkages
PATIENT REGISTRATION
Greets patients and office visitors in a pleasant and professional manner
Uses appropriate and professional behavior with all patients and all incoming calls
Obtains relevant medical and demographic information at the window
Answers questions and gives information directly or via the telephone within the limits of knowledge and medical practice policies
Registers patient into the computer system
Verifies insurance, if workers comp case gets authorization to treat and claim number
Ensure that all patients have a known mechanism to pay their bills
Works with MD III Billing Solutions LLC/Billing agent to update and correct entered data
EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Post high-school education ie: College, University or Specialist Degree
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nursing or Radiology Technologist program
Minimum of 3 years experience in a clinical environment
Previous successful clinic-level management experience is preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills
A proven ability to teach, coach, and direct
Understanding of customer-service organization is a must
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
