Wound Care Specialist, RN/PT/OT Department: Wound Care Schedule: On-Call Shift: Varied Days Hours: Varied Salary: DOQ Job Details: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Wound Care Specialist, RN collaborates with the Wound Management Team to plan, organize, and maintain consistent quality care for patients with wounds. This Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care through the utilization of the nursing process in accordance with physicians' orders, established policies, procedures, and protocols, established professional standards, and administrative hospital-wide policies.
QUALIFICATIONS: The Wound Care Specialist, RN/OT/PT is a registered nurse, occupational therapist or physical therapist who possess specialized education and clinical experience in Wound Management and * Demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise * Demonstrates ability to work independently and as a member of a healthcare team. * Professional verbal and written communication skills * Manage stress appropriately * Handle multiple priorities * Make decisions under pressure EDUCATION/LICENSURE: * RN: Bachelor (minimal) from an accredited school in nursing, OR PT: Bachelor (minimal) from an accredited school in physical therapy, OR OT: Bachelor (minimal) from an accredited school in occupational therapy * Credentialed as a Wound Care Specialist (WCC, CWS, and/or WCON) strongly preferred * Qualified to obtain Wound Specialist credentials with the first year of hire (minimal) * Current Arizona Practitioner License in good standing * Current American Heart Association Healthcare BLS Provider * ACLS preferred * EXPERIENCE: · A minimum of one (1) year of current full-time experience as a professional nurse, physical therapist, or occupational therapist Wound Care/Management environment. o Two (2) years of direct experience preferred.
