Here at WakeMed the Wound Care Specialist provides care and services to acute care patients and their families in the areas of wound, ostomy and continence in a manner that is consistent with the vision, mission, and values of Wakemed. Quality care and education based on current research and standards of care. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care and education related to wound ostomy and continence care. Will collaborate with and provide services to healthcare team members as clinician, educator, consultant and professional.
*Since the salary for this exempt position is pulled from a table assuming the position is full time, any position scheduled to work less than 80 hours a pay period will be prorated.
: Three (3) - five (5) years clinical experience required.
: BSN required. CWOCN or active pursuit of this certification required. Certificate must be obtained within six months of hire. MSN preferred.
