JOB SUMMARY: 
 Attends emergency medical requests as they arise, and renders emergency medical assistance to seriously ill or injured patients as required.
 Performs initial assessment and management of illness or injury to emergency patients in accordance with specified protocol and procedure.
 Prepares or assists in the preparation of patients for transport, ensuring compliance with emergency medical transport regulations, protocol, and procedure.
 Provides direct EMT- C and comprehensive patient care as required in each individual case. ·
 Leads, guides, and/or assists in the training of lower level techs and/or students, as specifically assigned.
 Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
 Inspects emergency medical equipment to ensure serviceability and compliance with safety and infection control regulations and standards.
 Completes and transfers patient care information and records as per established procedures.
 Procedures for these must be in accordance with federal law and established procedures.
 TB skin testing, flu injections, Hep B vaccinations depending on licensing State uired Experience
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
Certification as a Rhode Island Emergency Medical Technician - Cardiac.

JOB RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
12 months experience in job related field.

Demonstrated knowledge of clinical procedures.
Demonstrated medical knowledge, techniques and information needed to treat injuries.
Know, understand and share status of all work related injuries (first aid, serious, etc.) including follow up, escalate concerns as needed. 
Become a resource for understanding injury metrics, OSHA recordable, lost time, etc.
Demonstrated ability to administer first aid/emergency care.
Work closely with PA to monitor, engage in interactive process with staff members requesting restrictions or accommodations according to current guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to speak effectively and convey information to supervisors, peers and
      customers.
Good basic medical observation and assessment skills, ability to follow guidelines, protocols.
Understand role in OH function, including who is the customer in this setting.
Positive attitude, Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Ability to function in constantly changing environment, resiliency.
Demonstrated knowledge of human behavior and performance.
Excel familiarity usage/understanding or ability to learn and become proficient.
Demonstrated ability use judgment and perform critical onstrated ability to operate and control equipment or systems.
