Primary Function & Major Responsibilities Responsible for delivery of quality patient care in accordance with established standards of ntains confidentiality in all aspects of the lizes nursing process by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care provided for patients with wound, ostomy and skin care municates accurately and effectively with patient/family and health care members regarding plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient rdinates care with primary care provider and/or surgeon. Directs, coordinates and acts as a liaison for other health care tributes to the maintenance of resource saving quality of motes personal safety and safe environment for customers and ages and supervises other practice personnel as s as a role model and resource to staff in order to promote teamwork and umes responsibility as ticipates in activities that contribute to improved clinical competence, personal satisfaction and professional forms skills outlined in practice specific skills ntifies, assesses and addresses the special needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients when directly or indirectly providing treatment or patient forms other related duties, as required.
Qualifications Education: Current license to practice registered nursing in Minnesota. Completion of an accredited WOC nursing education program. Board certification by Wound, Ostomy Continence Nurses Society.
Experience: Nursing experience preferred. Five years clinical nursing experience in one of the following areas; medical surgical nursing, rehabilitation, or oncology.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge and expertise in consultation;Patient and family teaching;Strong technical and organizational skills;Ability to walk, bend, reach, and lift 50 pounds;Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients of all age groups (neonatal through geriatric). Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development through the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status, and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients needs in relation to age and to provide the care needed as described in the departments policies and Certification preferred.
