Under the direction of a radiologist, performs diagnostic ultrasonic procedures for evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician requiring the use of highly specialized equipment. Performs related duties as required.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Ideal Ultrasound Technologist will have two years of experience in Obstetric Ultrasound Scans (1st-3rd Trimester Scan)
Experience with Abdominal and OB Scan is highly desirable.
Advanced Certification as an Ultrasound Tech is preferred!
Requires the completion of a 2 year formal training program in Diagnostic Radiology, plus 1 year of training in Ultrasound.
Registration with the American Registry of Radiology Technology is required within one year of employment date.
