At Day Kimball Hospital this is a hybrid role that combines the duties of a Unit Receptionist and a Certified Nursing Assistant. In this position you will: * Act as a central communication resource at the nursing station for all patient care activities. * Maintain good customer service and patient confidentiality. * Complete all necessary forms, requisitions, communications and special projects as assigned. * Accurately transcribes physicians' orders (when applicable). * Accurately inputs and retrieves data. * In addition, you are also responsible for: * Assisting patients and nurses as necessary with ADL, Vital Signs, and patient Plan of Care. * Functioning in the role of Constant Attendant and responding to Resusciteam page and Crisis Team page when directed by Nurse Director/designee. * Transporting (or assisting with transport) of patients to other units or departments as necessary. * Reporting any changes observed in condition or behavior of patients.
Requirements: * CNA certification in State of Connecticut required. * High School diploma or equivalent required. * Medical terminology and computer skills required.
