Ultrasound Technologist Department: MRI (Butler Commons) Schedule: Casual Shift: Day shift Hours: Mon thru Sat - 8 hr days; Weekend rotation Job Details: - Graduate of school of Ultrasound Diagnostic Technology Butler Health System: Twice named One of the 100 Best Places to Work in PA Outreach Ultrasound Tech Casual Position Vacation and Sick Coverage Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures following prescribed protocols and procedures. Demonstrates competence in the assessment, range of treatment, and knowledge of growth and development, appropriate to the age and disability of the patient treated. Is proficient in the ability to perform various special procedures using ultrasound imaging guidance and is proficient at correctly setting gain for pre & post processing levels to obtain optimal ultrasound images. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Minimum: Completion of an Ultrasound technology program Experience: Minimum: Clinical rotation through the educational program. Preferred: 5+ years experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, registered in Abdomen and OB/Gyn License, Certification, Registration: Requires certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Special Requirements:Cross functional to support Outpatient locations (i.e. registration and EKG). Will rotate through Outpatient imaging locations at Butler Commons, Cranberry and future Outpatient locations in the northern and southern tiers of Butler County. Excellent customer relation skills. Work Schedule: Days and weekend rotation; 8 hr days (Mon - Sat)
