POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers, the Ultrasonographer performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures. The Ultrasonographer should be capable of working within the regulatory guidelines using initiative and independent judgment.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
1. Requires specialized training in a two year radiology technology program from an
A.M.A. approved school. Formal instruction in ultrasound, including techniques,
cross-sectional anatomy, and instrumentation required.
2. May require specific training on specialized equipment and or software as delineated in position description addendum.
