Ultrasound Tech Department: Radiology - PRMC Schedule: per diem Shift: Hours: M-F; variable hours; call required Job Details: Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures for the purpose of detecting pathology. Assures responsibilities for the patient flow and all other matters pertaining to patient care, ensures patient and employee safety. Recommends action necessary to improvement of the overall discipline and other actions regarding personnel. The technologist is directly involved in a variety of ultrasound procedures, has extensive experience with available ultrasound equipment in terms of product evaluation, troubleshooting and quality control. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationships with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Graduate of an accredited program in radiography and/or ultrasound technology. Ability to work with patients of all ages. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the correct operation of all-departmental equipment, accessories and procedures. Maintains American Heart Association BLS certifcation certification. Registered with ARDMS or registry eligible in abdomen, obstetrics, neonatal, peripheral vascular.
