Ultrasound Tech (104) Department: HARVARD HOSP RADIOLOGY (18125800) Schedule: Pool Shift: Variable About Facility: Hours: Job Details: JOB SUMMARY:Performs routine ultrasound procedures according to established standards and procedures. Schedules patient appointments and enters patient charges into computer. Assists physicians with procedures. Completes requisitions and prepares patient charts. Maintains equipment in proper working order. Maintains files and records. Attends meetings and seminars to maintain registration. Transports patients. May be required to work in alternative shifts, weekends, and overtime during peak periods. Participates in on-call roster. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:Graduate of an AMA accredited program in Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography Registered/Registry Eligible in Physics, Abdomen and OB within 1 year Additional ARRT registration desirable Experience in Ultrasound preferred. Current sonography registration (ARDMS or ARRT) required, or must be obtained within two years of hire. CPR certification required Position requires call at Mercy Harvard Hospital and to fill open shifts at Woodstock and McHenry.
