JOB SUMMARY Responsible for performing all ultrasound examinations in Imaging Services, rendering preliminary interpretations of exams, supervising control of work flow, assisting Radiologists in biopsies and aspirations, assisting with clerical duties, assisting with maintenance of equipment, and assisting with teaching file material and with preparation of lectures for in-house training for Radiologic Technologists, students, medical staff personnel, and meetings.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE -Documented graduation from an accredited two-year allied heath/nursing program (ie. radiologic technologist, registered nurse, respiratory therapist, medical laboratory technologist, etc..) and possess a recognized health credential (registry certificate) in their health specialty or a bachelor of science degree with other prerequisite/program requirements being met.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
-18 months experience in OB/GYN, Abdomen, and Small Parts Sonography preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and/or REGISTRATIONS
-Currently registered with RDMS or will become registered within 1 year of employment.

- Must be able to work in adequately heated, air-conditioned and lighted clinical examination facility. - Some exposure of disagreeable elements occurs when patients become ill during examination. - Stressful environment with fast work place.
