• Director of Rehab needed for a Medical Center, admits 3400 patients to the 150-bed hospital each year, while the emergency department serves 14,000 people annually. The hospital hosts a staff of over 300 employees, delivers an annual payroll of $17 million and is involved in several community non-profit efforts. A Level IV Trauma Center designation, first earned in 2005, certifies that the Emergency Department.  The Medical Center provides the equipment and resources to care for patients with traumatic injuries and illness. This designation was given after they  underwent an extensive survey process by the Texas Department of State Health Services to demonstrate its commitment to high quality trauma care for the residents.
  Job Description:  Assesses patients, develops and initiates treatment plans based on the results of the evaluation. The evaluation may include measurements of neuromuscular and skeletal functions. Provides direct patient care. Documents findings, progress and instruction to patients and caregivers. Supervises assistants and rehabilitation technicians with regards to individual patient care.

  1 FT Therapy Tech/Secretary

• Prior exposure and experience in an PT Job, OT job or Director of Rehabilitation position a plus.

• Bachelors or graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited university-based physical therapy program.
• Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners license or eligibility.
• At least 2 years experience as a Physical Therapist within an acute care hospital or rehab environment along with 2 years leadership experience.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient served.
• He/she must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to the different life cycles. Specific age groups that are served by this position are circled.
