Temp Clinical Nurse Specialist
Title: Temp Clinical Nurse Specialist Location: TX-San Antonio 1. SUMMARY: This clinical nurse specialist is responsible for 1) telephonically assessing wound progression for V.A.C. ® patients, 2) identifying and facilitating the initiation of V.A.C. ® Therapy for potential new patients, 3) developing and executing strategic account management plans for assigned Home Health Agencies, Wound Care Centers, Skilled Nursing facilities, etc., 4) developing relationships with key clinical providers, uncovering account needs, and developing and executing a strategic account plan to maximize growth and value for targeted accounts.
2. PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: · Achieve revenue goals through: o Completion of required payor clinical documentation · Achieve strategic central team goals by: o Effectively presenting KCI value proposition o Developing and managing customer relationships and loyalty with Clinical Providers o Effectively using customer education programs, tools and presentations o Effectively using business and clinical data in accordance with KCI policies o Effectively communicating with Clinical Providers personnel, physicians and other health care professionals o Prioritizing account calls and activities to efficiently and effectively drive strategic goals while achieving superior clinical outcomes o Partnering with Clinical Account Manager¿ Post Acute Care as defined by the escalation policy o As needed, providing clinical education support to Clinical Providers o Perform administrative duties by: o Capturing and maintaining customer profile data o Meet weekly activity expectation as defined by management o Collect Clinical Progress Reports and Clinical Provider Care Plans and other requisite paperwork o Provide vacant territory coverage via telephone as assigned. · Completing and submitting required corporate and region reports/documents within designated time frames · Collaborating with other KCI team members to provide continuity of care · Communicating physician call support need to the AE PA(Account Executive-Post Acute) · Involving AEPA and CAM PA in resolving higher level account management issues · Measuring monitoring and reporting selling efforts; manage input of data into computer system as required · Participating in all reasonable work assignments as deemed appropriate by management to support business needs, and for which Centralized CAM is qualified to perform · Successful completion of all designated training programs for this position · Conforming to, supporting, and enforcing all KCI policies and procedures
· REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · Associates Degree in nursing or related field · A LVN/LPN license in Texas. · Experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
· OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS · Experience with clinical support · Ability to manage change and multiple priorities · Demonstrated communication and presentation skills · Ability to operate independently and efficiently, without supervision · Ability to deal with customers, employees and business contacts, while conveying a positive service oriented attitude · Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all business dealings · Ability to exercise sound judgment, eliciting support and cooperation from coworkers · Must be willing to travel by commercial air service to attend scheduled business and corporate functions when required · Demonstrated time management and organizational skills · PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · 2 years HHA or WCC experience · Knowledge of wound management and VAC therapy
