Complete Description
Performs a wide variety of clerical, organizational and communication duties in support of Nursing Services. Ensures that paperwork and equipment is adequate and functioning. At the same time, performs a variety of technical, organizing, sterilizing and cleaning duties in preparation for, during and after surgical procedures. Is aware of and supports the mission, organization, and structure of the Hospital. Is involved in Risk Management, Performance Improvement, and unit activities. REQUIRED: Graduate of accredited 1-year program for Surgical Technology or a currently licensed North Carolina LPN with surgical training, CPR certified. This employee will be required to demonstrate competence in the performance of duties specific to the age groups of the patients with whom he or she will be assigned. PREFERRED: Specialty course work or experience in assigned area. A course in Windows or other computer training.
