STERILE PROCESSING SUPERVISOR
Immediate opening for experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor. Full-time day shift position. Supervisor is responsible for and participates in all processes associated with cleaning, assembly and sterilization, as well as necessary storage and transport of specific instrumentation, surgical sets and patient care equipment for the Operating Room, PACU and all nursing units. Supervises staff on specific shift to assure work is completed in a timely manner according to established standards and policies and procedures. Works collaboratively with evening shift staff in the OR and on the nursing units to assure instrumentation/supplies are readily available to meet patient care needs during the evening shift. Participates and makes recommendations related to process improvement initiatives. Identifies developmental needs of the department and staff and participates in programs designed to educate, expand, improve throughput of supplies to and from Sterile Processing. Participates in development of measurement tools to monitor and report quality and productivity within department.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency required. Associate Degree preferred. Minimum of five (5) years experience in Sterile Supply, at least two (2) of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. In lieu of Associate Degree, must demonstrate three to five (3 – 5) years of supervisory experience in sterile supply. Certification as Central Sterile Technician required. Must have specific knowledge of aseptic technique and appropriate decontamination procedures. Must have extensive knowledge of medical devices, medical supplies, and operating room instrumentation and equipment. Familiarity with compliance regulations regarding bloodborne pathogens and safe medical devices is necessary.
