Description
Basic RoleSr. Manager, WW (WorldWide) Technical Support - This position will lead all technical aspects of SSM B&C (Bottle & Can) PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) commercial support. The team relies on this position in order to achieve PET commercial goals and objectives especially in the areas of Productivity, Sustainability, Quality Improvement and ncipal Accountabilities - Establish and maintain productive relationships with Supplier Technical organizations in support of PepsiCo commercial, quality, innovation and productivity objectives. - Identify and drive key Sustainability initiatives with Suppliers and key PepsiCo stakeholders, and communicate status, lead Field Ready project teams and quantify deliverables. - Develop proper sampling and audit practices for suppliers and self-manufacturing locations to ensure continued focus on all key Quality metrics, score-carding. - Reporting quality, qualification and performance status to Sr. SSM executives for proactive action and management. - Develop and nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders: PBC Quality/Engineering, Independent Bottler Operations, P&ED, SSM Resin / PET. - Establish influential relationships with key OEM's: Krones, Sidel, Husky, as well as merchant bottle suppliers and self-manufacturing operations in support of PepsiCo SSM goals and objectives. - Maintain productive relationships with approved third party labs to support quality and sustainability ernal and External Interactions: - Internal interactions would be with SSM PET and Resins teams, PBC Quality and Engineering, P&ED, Consumer Affairs, PepsiCo filling locations, PepsiCo Bottler Operations Committee, Independent Bottlers, PepsiCo divisions, PepsiCo FSRA (Food Safety / Regulatory Affairs) Arlington Labs, and PepsiCo Law. - External interactions will include supplier technical organizations, third party labs, and key PET equipment OEMs.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Experience Required - BS in Packaging Engineering or equivalent, MBA preferred - 8-10 years experience in Consumer Product packaging, PET experience in particular desired - Strong Project Management, communication, analytical and collaboration skills - Travel estimated at 15-25% domestic, some InternationalGeneral Comments:(Key challenges / Unique aspects of this position)The ability to keep a multitude of projects moving forward efficiently with continually changing scope given the intense demand for fast implementation of productivity and sustainability projects. Superior communication and collaboration skills are needed to ensure all parties are aligned with the path to innovation and/or sustainability.
