We are currently looking to fill the critical role of Senior HOPE Scientist, Corporate Accounts. The Health Outcomes and PharmacoEconomics (HOPE) Senior Field Scientist is responsible for creating strategic scientific value communication plans for all assigned accounts that support the Brand and Managed Market’s objectives for marketed and pipeline products.
This is a senior-level position with responsibility for one or more large managed care organizations which, in total, make coverage decisions that affect over $800M in total revenue for Endo. The person will need to collaborate with his/her respective Managed Markets Corporate Account Executive to profile and identify opportunities for customer value creation through the dissemination of clinical & health economic information and the identification of health outcomes and pharmacoeconomic research opportunities. As a member of cross-functional leadership teams, the Senior Field Scientist will prioritize & customize their activities to leverage those opportunities and will proactively communicate the value of Endo products to priority health care providers and payors (as defined in FDAMA section 114) within approved regulations.
The scientist will also provide strategic direction and feedback to their cross functional leadership teams, HOPE and R&D leadership, and to relevant HOST teams to fine-tune the value proposition of the Endo product portfolio to meet customers’ cific activities may include educating payors about Endo’s portfolio of products and pipeline, further educating payors by facilitating interactions with investigators and KOLs, providing actionable feedback to HOST teams, supporting HOST team in preparation of FDAMA section 114 detailing tools for payors, presenting approved materials to payors and to health care providers of key customers, obtaining data for local customization of presentations and of economic models, customization and presentation of economic models, identification of research opportunities that differentiate Endo products and facilitation of such research with local investigators. To accomplish this you will need to:
* Development and execution of Corporate Account value strategies as described above * Participate in the development of the HOPE department
This role requires a minimum of 10 years in a leadership position for an MCO/PBM, as Chief Pharmacy Officer, VP of Pharmacy, or equivalent. A degree in a health care field is required with a Masters or higher level degree in business preferred. Preference will also be given for individuals who have served on an institutional Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. We are looking for someone with: In-depth knowledge of managed care Pharmacy and Therapeutic (P&T) committees’ decision making processes; First-hand experience with the preparation and presentation of materials to P&T committees and participation in such committees as a decision-maker; Established relationships with national managed care opinion leaders; In-depth knowledge of managed markets and understanding of commercial and government payer’s landscape and their evidence needs; Ability to provide leadership and influence managed markets strategy; Ability to establish strong positive relationships with customers and local opinion leaders and investigators; Strong organizational and communication skills and proven ability to lead teams in a matrix organization; Willingness to collaborate with the commercial organization and participate in account planning; Willingness and ability to develop expertise in Health Outcomes and Pharmacoeconomic; Demonstrates strong strategic thinking and ability to distill strategic concepts into actionable tactics; Shows leadership traits by way of example rather than by organizational hierarchy; In-depth understanding of the informational needs of decision makers (i.e. pharmacy and medical directors) and the dynamics, culture, and processes of specific payors; Practical knowledge and experience with Health Outcomes and Pharmacoeconomics to identify opportunities, customize & present approved interactive models, and to oversee implementation of research projects with local investigators; and Knowledge of regulations pertaining to the communication of information to health care providers and regulations pertaining to the communication of information to payors.
