Sr Director MCCN Clinical Svs Department: General Administration Schedule: Active Full Time Shift: 1 First Shift Days Hours: 32 hours 8:00am-4:30pm Job Details: - Masters degree is preferred
Monitors and reports on network-wide quality initiatives. Ensures network compliance with its policies and procedures and those of regulatory agencies including the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).Is responsible forthe planning, coordinating, monitoring and assessment of various clinical programs throughout the network. May be asked to function as Interim Director of Nursing Services or Clinical Director for Mercy Home Care (MHC) or Mercy Hospice (MH) as needed by the Mercy Continuing Care Network (MCCN).
· Meets regularly with the Leadership Team in each facility or program to provide direction and support to clinical programs. Conducts the network's monthly Director of Nursing, Staff Development Coordinator and MDS/MMQ Coordinator meetings.
· Responsible for the review and revision of the MCCN Quality Improvement plan, reports and presents to the SPHS Quality Improvement Committee (SPHS Board Trustees Quality Committee) and quarterly and annual summary reports.
· Provides clinical education programs to employees on a regular basis.
· Coordinates the application process for educational (e.g., CNA, ECCLI) and clinical grants and serves as the Program Director for these grants.
· Responsible for the development and implementation of network clinical policies and procedures.
· Oversees and facilitates the network's physician/professional staff credentialing process.
· Coordinates and facilitates the MCCN Quality Improvement Committee (QIC), which is responsible for the review and oversight of various quality measures, including those required by The Joint Commission, DPH and other regulatory agencies.
· Coordinates facility/agency mock survey prior to DPH survey window.
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of aBaccalaureate Program in Nursingand 10 - 15 years of previous and progressively more responsible work related experience. Minimum five (5) years experience in a long-term care or home care nursingleadershipposition. Masters degree preferred.Requires knowledge and skills acquired through experience in quality improvement, CQI concepts and tools and regulatory and Joint Commission standards.
