Job Title Sr Associate I, Meetings and Conventions Location US-MA-Wellesley Job Category Commercial Operations Requisition Number 13133BR Job Description The Meetings & Conventions Associate will be responsible for managing, executing and planning meetings and conventions for the U.S. Commercial Organization.
Associate is responsible for all aspects of meeting management to include: budgeting (development and management), site selection (meeting spec development, research, site visits), contract negotiations, attendee registration, all attendee communications, all on-site logistics (food & beverage, meeting room set ups, AV, etc.) and all post meeting follow up.
This job requires heavy travel- 50% including weekends and overnights across the US.
Candidate must have exceptional customer service skills and exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong flexibility and impeccable organization skills. Qualifications This role requires a working knowledge of Lotus Notes, Excel and Word as well as experience with web based software.
At least 4 years of professional work experience in related field with meeting planning/trade show experience strongly preferred. Hotel Industry & Pharmaceutical Industry knowledge are a plus.
Candidate must be able to travel 50% including weekends and overnight stays across the US. Education Bachelor's Degree
