Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Description: Position Summary: The speech and language pathologist will primarily be responsible for diagnosis, treatment, counseling and follow-up services for speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Patients will be served in outpatient, home, inpatient, and other settings are required by patients of Fayette County Memorial Hospital.
Position Requirements: Administering, scoring and interpreting diagnostic results. Plan and implement therapy programs geared toward each client’s specific deficits as reflected during diagnostic evaluation. This includes the development of appropriate goals and frequency and duration of treatments. Maintain confidentiality and abide by all department and hospital-wide policies.
Position Education Requirements: Must obtain proper credentials including a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA accredited institute and hold current state licensure or conditional state licensure pending Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Must maintain current CPR certification. Must be able to document evaluations and treatments appropriately per department policies. Must be able to communicate well with patients, families, health care professionals and others.
