Sleep Therapist- Polysomnographer- RPSGT
A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the clinical Director (M.D., D.O., or PhD) or designee and the Director of Respiratory Services to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide supervision of other staff.
The practice of a Polysomnographic Technologist in the Respiratory Services Department may include but not limited to: Gather and Analyze Patient Information Testing Preparation Procedures Polysomnographic Procedures Polysomnographic Record Scoring Service Management and Professional Issues

Phelps County Regional Medical Center (PCRMC) continues to grow to meet the changing health care needs of the residents in its six-county service area. PCRMC medical services include: • Cardiac catheterization lab • Cardiac rehabilitation • Cancer care services • Comprehensive Breast Center • Emergency department (level III trauma center) • Hospice and Home Health • Laboratory (community and hospital based) • Physical, occupational and speech therapies • Psychiatric services • Medical imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT Scanner, Bone Density, Nuclear Medicine, PET Scanner) • Rehabilitation unit • Sleep laboratory • Skilled nursing facility • Surgical services (orthopedics, peripheral vascular, urology, OB/GYN, ENT) Starting out with 63 beds, 65 employees and 21 medical staff members in 1951, the hospital has grown into one of the state’s leading referral centers employing more than 1,300 people. The first hospital in this area was a makeshift military hospital located at the Phelps County Courthouse during the Civil War. After the Civil War, the Rolla District Medical Society was formed and consisted of doctors from Phelps, Dent, Crawford, Maries, Miller, Pulaski and Texas counties.
