Senior Training Specialist:
The individual in this position will have the responsibility for designing and delivering GMP, technical and organizational development training (both classroom training and e-learning), along with assisting functional areas with developing competency based training at the Framingham Biologics site. This includes training in the areas of general and advanced knowledge of current regulations, functional job knowledge and skill development, compliance, and management development in a GMP environment. This individual will work with internal personnel to assess needs, develop and/or acquire curriculum, tools to measure effectiveness, and other projects, as assigned. This individual will also assist in the development of organizational strategies, training programs, and teambuilding processes to enhance organizational effectiveness, including interacting with personnel from other sites as needed. This individual must be action oriented, results driven and motivated to perform at a very high level.
Responsibilities:
* Development, maintenance, trending and continuous improvement of the Biologics training program, including conducting effectiveness checks to ensure program applicability.
* Design and development of program content, instructional tools, and hands on exercises, including computer-based training
* Conduct needs analysis, training effectiveness checks, and trend results as appropriate by utilizing the latest technology available
* Train other trainers and evaluate other trainers' skills, including classroom trainers and OJT trainers.
* Provide leadership and information to operations management on recommended training programs and trainee's performance, and work with the functional areas to assess, develop and implement competency based OJT programs.
* Implement and maintain training schedules based upon departmental workloads and information such as SOP issuance, curricula assignment, new hires, etc.
* Monitor and manage the production of training information such as employee training grids and qualification status, as required.
* Participate in the management of developmental projects associated with the necessary training programs, curriculum, modules, documentation, etc.
* Will work closely with the Framingham Biologics functional areas to assist with developing and implementing competency based training programs for those areas.
Skills required:
* Proven needs analysis, instructional design, and classroom training skills
* Experience developing, delivering and assessing training in both one-on-one and classroom settings
* Experience developing and deploying competency-based and computer-based training
* Experience working in QA, QC, or Manufacturing environments
* Superior organizational and multitasking capabilities
* Must be able to work under minimal supervision
* Able to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
* Must be customer focused and service oriented
* Ability to learn and utilize MS Office, Outlook, Plateau, Livelink, and other relevant electronic systems
* Ability to adapt to change
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree
* 5 years GMP experience in a manufacturing or quality function
* 3 years experience developing, delivering and assessing classroom, computer-based, and competency based functional training in a GMP environment. .
Preferred Qualifications:
* Biotechnology experience preferred.
* Working knowledge of Plateau, MS Word & Powerpoint, Lectora a plus.
