Senior PC Technician Department: Information Services Schedule: Full time exempt Shift: Variable Hours: includes days, afternoons, nights and weekends Job Details: * Position Summary:
Responsible for installing and maintaining personal computer hardware and software. Responsible for 2ndand 3rdlevel PC Tech calls. Responsible for some VIP calls and command performance calls. Additional responsibilities include: Implements and maintains desktop support automation tools; imaging of new systems; network printers, local printers, label printers and scanners; mobile device support; device connectivity in network closets; equipment moves; offsite location support (includes local travel); call management system tickets; asset management;outside vendor relations for equipment repairs and involvement with special projects as needed. Included in On-Call rotation (if applicable).
Qualifications: Associate/Technical degree with 4 years installing and trouble-shooting personal computer or high school diploma and 8 years installing and trouble-shooting personal computers required. MS Certifications preferred. Extensive knowledge of personal computers and various software required. Local area network experience desirable. Knowledge of desktop support automation preferred. Knowledge and experience with IBM AS/400 device maintenance. Good interpersonal skills. Must like to work with people.
