Job Title Senior Engineer I/II, BioPharm Development - Cell Culture Location US-MA-Cambridge Job Category Biopharmaceutical Sciences (MFG) Requisition Number 12899BR Job Description 1. Work on defined projects in Cell Culture development.
2. Design and execute experimentation of the projects in laboratory-scale with minimal guidance.
3. Perform independent data analysis/interpretation, identify issues as applicable and design the path forward for troubleshooting.
5. May supervise junior staff to advance project work by performing and delegating relevant tasks to support department goals.
6. Work closely with Scale-up group in design, execution and trouble shooting of development projects.
7. Represent Cell Culture Department in CMC team and Tech Transfer to Manufacturing. Qualifications Knowledge of cell culture techniques, mammalian preferred, including aseptic operations, cell biology, biochemistry, media design and preparation, analytical techniques, and bioreactor operations. Direct experience is a plus. Familiarity with computer software packages. Knowledge of statistical applications, including DOE, is a plus. Demonstrated technical proficiency and creativity. Excellent verbal and written communication.
Expertise in Science and Engineering aspects of Cell Culture Development. Ability to develop innovative technology/approach in Cell Culture. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
PhD in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering with 0-5 years experience preferred or Masters degree with 6+ years experience in Biotechnology/Biopharmaceutical industry. Other relevant expertise in Science or Engineering will be considered.
