The Senior Database Administrator requires interaction with all four global laboratories, IT, global customer service, and Global Medical and Technical affairs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Design, build, maintain, and track global database definitions and modification appropriately to include implementations and maintaining the data bases, Referral, PeopleSoft and Microbiology interfaces.
* Determine database requirements by interacting with the global laboratories and other departments.
* Follow SDP process including the creation of the system validation documentation.
* Direct database implementations as assigned for the functions of calculations, reflexes, and PeopleSoft.
* Write and maintain SOP's.
* Provide direct support to the global laboratories and remote sites to troubleshoot and solve database related problems.
* Identify, evaluate, propose and implement agreed upon solutions to database inconsistencies.
* Demonstrate superior troubleshooting as documented through competency testing.
* Participate in process improvement and quality management programs.
* Participate and lead team members on global and/or internal projects involving multiple database and software solutions. Education/Qualifications Education/Qualifications:
* ASCP or equivalent certified Medical Technologist with a BA in Medical Technology
* ASCP or equivalent certified Medical Laboratory Technician with an AD Experience Education:
* Two years WLOS Database Administration experience
* MT-two years experience
* MLT-five years experience
* Prefer-CCLS bench experience
