Safety Technician Department: Safety Schedule: Hourly Full Time Shift: Day shift Hours: 7-3:30 Job Details: The safety technician will inspect, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the safety initiative within the facilities based on appropriate guidelines and/or standards by Federal, State, Local and Private agencies (e.g., DHEC, JCAHO, OSHA, NFPA, International Building codes and any other agency or standard appropriate for the specific application or situation). The technician will report all deficiencies to the Environment of Care Committee and take the appropriate action to maintain the highest standards and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. High School Graduate or GED required; prefer a two-year technical school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of two years of experience in a safety related field; preferred experience in a Health Care Environment. Must have a current valid S.C. Drivers License orobtain a valid SC Driver's License within ninety (90) days of employment.
