Job Description:
RN Critical Care- Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology For RNs in the Vascular lab assigned to electrophysiologic procedures, an RN Electrophysiology performs support during electrophysiologic procedures such as diagnostic EP studies and ablations (with or without 3-D mapping) in the Cath Lab setting. Duties performed in accordance with physician orders include scrub assistance, operation of electrogram monitoring and pacing software, electrogram data gathering and interpretation including measurement of intracardiac intervals, operation of radio-frequency generators, operation of 3-D mapping systems, operation of intra-cardiac echo and operation of programmable stimulators.
Job Qualifications:
Education: As required by preferred. Experience: One year registered nursing experience or completion of Legacy Health Nurse Residency least one year previous experience in the field of electrophysiologic procedures in a Cardiac Catheterization/Angiography Lab is strongly preferred. Thorough understanding of the principles of electrophysiology and in particular the electrophysiologic anatomy of the heart is preferred. Understanding of the variety of electophysiologic equipment and their adaptation to specific generators and knowledge and understanding of multiple advanced mapping systems (currently ESI and Carto systems) is preferred. Licensure: Current applicable state RN license required. Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions. Supports and Models the Legacy Preferred Employee Profile.
