Job Description

Located in the foothills of Salt Lake City, Utah, Primary Children's Medical Center is a 289-bed freestanding level- one trauma center with a service area covering five states - Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Nevada. The OR Clinical Expanded Role II Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who performs within the scope of the professional registered nurse and additionally assumes a clinical leadership position. This leadership position is a vital part of the medical team in providing clinical expertise, consultation, education and research in their designated area or specialty focus.  Responsibilities include accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients, as well as identifying, coordinating, and evaluating projects and assignments.  Will also act as a resource, consultant and mentor to the staff within their specialty care area and coordinate patient care with other members of the interdisciplinary team. This leadership role provides exceptional care and service to all those they interact with on a daily basis.

Minimum Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in state of practice
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, Intermountain verifies both degree attainment and educational institution accreditation following an offer of employment.
• This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification.  An original card must be verified prior to start date or the job offer will be withdrawn.  For additional information regarding CPR requirements please visit our Job Requirements Page .
• Experience in assigned clinical area
• Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and email processing programs

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, Intermountain will verify upon hire.
• Pediatric OR RN work experience
