RN - Operating Room Department: Operating Room- A Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day shift Hours: 40 hrs/week; 0630-1500; on-call rotation required Job Details: * Current State of Maine RN license * Minimum 1 year experience required * A registered professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery of perioperative nursing care to the surgical patients in pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative phases utilizing the continuum of the nursing process which includes assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and re-assessment; and who also directs and guides ancillary personnel in maintaining patient care and unit ntifies patient, assesses health status and develops an individualized plan of lements plan of care to provide optimum individualized care with direct nursing interventions to achieve these uments nursing activities on the Operation Room log sheet to provide a permanent ns, supervises and assists in all phases of patient transfer and positioning while maximizing safety.
Qualifications: * Must have either a current State of Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license or an RN license recognized by the Nurse Licensure Compact ( If RN licensure is from a compact state, must obtain a state of Maine RN license within 90 days of changing primary residency toMaine. * BLS certification is required within 3 months of hire. * Bachelor's degree in Nursing isstrongly preferred. * 1 year of acute care RN experience isrequired. * Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications.
