RN OB - L & D MOM & BABY Job Summary: Implements the comprehensive plan of care by providing direct nursing care for normal and high risk patients. Patients include: Antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and newborn (mother-baby) as well as infants in the newborn special care unit. Evaluates patient responses to implement care. Provides individual assessment, support and teaching during the prenatal period. The OB registered is responsible to be competent in the labor and delivery area and postpartum, antepartum or newborn special care unit and postpartum, antepartum. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Minimum two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for license as a Registered Nurse.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical Birthing Center setting required, with specific experience in Labor & Delivery.
Licensure: State of WI RN license or a Multi-State Nursing license from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse License Compact). Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire.
