RN - Med Surg Unit Department: Med Surg Unit A-3 Schedule: Part-time Shift: Night shift Hours: 24 hrs one week & 36 the next week; e/o weekend & holiday Job Details: * Current State of Maine RN license * Minimum 1 year experience preferred * Is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses plans, intervenes and evaluates individual patient care. Also directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. May be required to work on other nursing units according to distribution of staff and patients. Uses effective communication skills to facilitate the delivery of optimal patient care and to enhance customer satisfaction. Consistently performs nursing process according to patient age and unit standard. Employs team-building principles into clinical practice.
Qualifications/Competencies: * Must have either a current State of Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license or an RN license recognized by the Nurse Licensure Compact ( If RN licensure is from a compact state, must obtain a state of Maine RN license within 90 days of changing primary residency toMaine. * BLS certification is required within 3 months of hire. * Associate's degree in Nursing strongly preferred. * Up to 1 year of RN experience is preferred. * Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications.
