Summary:
Provides direct patient care to critically ill infants and children in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization
Responsibilities
*Implements and monitors patient care plans *Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate *Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders *Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care *Assesses and coordinates patients discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team *Participates in performance improvement initiatives as appropriate *Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education & Experience
*Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required. *One year of experience as a staff registered nurse in a Pediatric or Critical Care setting is required. *Two years of experience as a staff registered nurse is required for PRN and the WOW (Work on Weekend) Program
Licensure, Certification, and Registration
*Current Basic Life Support certification required *Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification required or must be obtained within one year of hire date into job *Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida required
