Complete Description
Under the general supervision of the ED Director of Nursing Service and the ED Charge Nurse, the ED RN uses specialized knowledge and skills in the care of patients and families presenting to the Emergency Department. The ED RN uses the nursing process to triage, assess, plan, diagnose and evaluate patient care while providing professional nursing services. The ED RN is responsible for providing a safe, efficient, and caring environment, one in which the ED Team can function and patient outcome is optimal. This position provides emergency services to neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Minimum Experience: At least 1 year experience as an RN in ED. Required Certification/Registration: CA RN license, BCLS, ACLS and PALS. CPI/AB508 desirable but will train within 60 days of hire.
