RN, Critical Care Department: ICU Unit Schedule: Regular Part-Time Shift: Day/Evening Hours: 24hrs/wk, (2 )12 hr shifts per week and every 3rd weekend Job Details: * Job Summary: The RN, Critical Care provides direct and indirect patient care in the critical care setting. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities. Requirements: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferable. Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of Maine. Two or more years of recent critical care experience, preferred. Successful completion of critical care course, basic arrhythmia certification and 12 lead interpretation class. Current ACLS, PALS and BCLS certification. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Excellent customer service skills required. Skills: Basic computer knowledge. Proficient in interpreting EKG.
