Experience: Experience (minimum): 5 years as RN Education: AAS in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing ' Bachelor is preferred; License/Certification Required ' current New York State RN License Description: The nurse leader position supports the nurse manager and unit staff as follows: In collaboration with unit/service nursing leadership, serves as a role model and resource for nursing personnel, and promotes collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other health disciplines in the management of the unit and needs of patients and families. Leads unit team members and others by supporting unit and organization goals and initiatives through role modeling and active participation in the change process. Provides leadership and coordinates activities, programs and personnel on evenings, nights and weekends as needed and assigned. Provides leadership and management of the unit, acting in place of the manager in the managers absence with 24/7 accountability. ASPN 4 builds on the skills, competencies and job description of ASPN levels 1 through 3. Skills (to include equipment, software, etc.) ' Demonstrates potential to meet NL role requirements. Exceeds performance at level 3.
