We are looking for a BioSurgery Region Manager who will be responsible for managing the tactical and operational activities within a US BioSurgery regional sales team. The BioSurgery products are used to promote hemostasis and wound-sealing in surgery. Primary call points are surgeons, nurses and operating room staff. The BioSurgery Region Manager will be responsible for:
•Planning, directing, and controlling the sales and business activities for assigned region through the translation of strategic plans into sales strategies to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives.
•Driving the implementation of team strategies to ensure the attainment of regionally focused objectives.
•Preparing annual regional forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential and in preparation of sales expense estimates for the region.
•Contacting major accounts to ensure customer satisfaction within assigned region.
•Directing the hiring, development, training, coaching, assessment and overall effectiveness of their direct reports.
•Partnering with sales support, marketing and R&D in activities such as sales promotion, training or market research in planning and executing special projects.
•Position will have an assigned geographic territory which may span several states. Travel is required (up to 60%) and may involve visits to remote or urban areas either individually or with other personnel.
•Individuals must live within the current geography or be willing to relocate to it. Familiarity with posted region strongly desired
Job Requirements
•Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 7 years of relevant medical device/healthcare sales experience.
•The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience in hospital based selling as well as experience managing a sales team.
•Must have experience creating and implementing annual sales budgets and forecasts.
•Valid Driver's License required.
•Must live within the geographical boundries of the Northern California Region.
