Knowledge necessary to make appropriate clinical decisions and interaction relative to patients' age-specific requirements and provide age appropriate care. Must demonstrate a working knowledge of all respiratory care equipment and demonstrate how that equipment is applied to perform specific respiratory care procedures. Knowledge in working with compressed gases, both flammable and non-flammable and the associated safety/fire precautions. Must maintain annual skill requirements Casual positon, requiring flexibility for covering all shifts.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of a 2 year, Associate Degree Respiratory Therapy program approved by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association. Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Wisconsin Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care * must obtain before end of six month probationary period. Basic Life Support ( BLS ) certification * upon hire Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS ) certification * must obtain before end of sixth month probationary period. Clinical experience in all areas of Respiratory Care is preferred. Hyberberic experience preferred
