Respiratory Therapist CRTT Department: EMH Respiratory Care Schedule: Full time Shift: Nights Hours: Job Details: Job Summary: The Respiratory Therapists has the primary responsibility and accountability for the provision of therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory services within their areas of responsibilities as outlined by patient care standards, policies and procedures. The Respiratory Therapists provides a timely and patient focused quality care that promotes and maintains the pulmonary health of their patients. Qualifications: Education Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Respiratory Care; credentialed as a Certified Respiratory Care Technician (CRTT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). 2. Baccalaureate or higher degree preferred and other credentials as applicable. 3. Communicates clearly in English, both written and oral. 4. CPR certification with annual re-certification. Experience 1 One year of acute care experience preferred. Personal Qualifications Able to perform critical thinking in a stressful environment utilizing decision making skills. 2. Adapts and exhibits proficiency to EMHC information system in 90 days. 3. Good interpersonal communication, teambuilding and effective time management skills. 4. Self-directed and able to work independently. 5. Results oriented with concern for appropriate modality/intervention. Licensure 1. Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (R.C.P.) preferred. *cb
