Responsibilities: This position is responsible to collect and review data on Safety Pharmacology studies and perform these tasks following all GLPs, SOPs, and protocols. It also includes performing related duties as described by management.
(Duties & Responsibilities – purpose of the function and result to be accomplished) include but are not limited to those listed: · Daily dose all species accurately, using various equipment and techniques. · Perform Functional Observational Battery tests, weekly. · Assist in the telemetry or behavioral monitoring of animals. · Assist in the daily pulmonary monitoring of all species (if applicable). · Daily perform in strict accordance with SOPs, GLPs, and protocols. · Daily read and annotate training with SOPs, GLPs, and protocols. · Completes all assigned events in validated system, 100% of the time. · Punctual and reliable attendance according to MPI Research company policy. Qualifications:
· T30001N: HS / GED; or · T30004N: BS in relevant field. · Scientific background, preferred. · Ability to solve problems and learn quickly with few reminders. · Daily demonstration of efficient use of time and multi-tasking. · Previous work with animals, preferred; must be willing to work with all species. · Ability to work well in a team setting and occasionally work independently. · Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. · Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions and including ability to learn a validated system. · Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice. · Ability to work under specific time constraints.
