Job Description
Being a valued professional contributor a Rehab Aide displays and provides care consistent with Intermountain Healthcares Mission, Vision and Values. This position assists in rehabilitation of patients. Under the supervision of a licensed therapist, the aide carries out treatment programs after patient evaluation by a therapist.
Entry Rate: 9.91
Benefits Eligible: No
Shift Details: Variable shifts, will work as needed by the Department
Minimum Requirements
- Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Willingness to continually learn and accept new responsibilities within the scope of practice
- This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification within 30 days of hire date. Failure to complete the BLS requirement within 30 days of start date will result in termination of employment. Current BLS is preferred. - High School diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to do heavy lifting
Preferred Qualifications
- Patient care experience
- One or more years rehab aide experience
- Completion of one or more college level medical courses (i.e. anatomy, physical therapy, movement sciences, athletic training)
- Prefer candidates seeking an advanced career in rehabilitation related services.
