Position Summary:

• Provides direct nursing care and follow-up care for patient injuries and illnesses utilizing the nursing process and nursing standards of practice
• Collaborates with other members of the on-site health & safety team, to include nurse practitioner, physician, wellness/prevention, safety, ergonomics, and EAP representatives to identify problems and propose solutions to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Supports all wellness program initiatives
• Responsible for clinical documentation using electronic systems
• May interact directly with the client or client representative.
• Represents the health center, as appropriate, in scheduled or ad hoc employer meetings regarding health and wellness events or strategic initiatives
• Assists in training of other colleagues as directed and completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 3-5 years experience in Occupational Health, Urgent Care or Adult Ambulatory Care nursing and/or Critical Care preferred.
• Current Virginia Licensure Current BCLS/AED certification Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong presentation skills Proficiency with the Internet & applicable software, Excel, Word processing, etc.
• Excellent multi-tasking, time management and documentation skills
• Strong commitment to customer service and team work.
