Job Description:
The Cardiac Cath Registered Nurse is responsible for the general nursing activities in the Cath Lab and more importantly for providing quality patient care. The Cardiac Cath RN also:
Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well coordinated patient care.
Performs and documents cardiac catheterization procedures required by assignment consistent with hospital and department policies and developmental needs.
Evaluates and documents patient's response to the procedure performed and communicates difficulties experienced during the performance of the procedure to aid the physician in their diagnosis.
Assist with the planning and presentation of departmental in-services and to cross train in areas outside the normal nursing responsibilities.
